Cost of Ancient Antipathies Always Come Due

in response to reader comment: Tovey: The crimes of Turkey against humanity are staggering and the Turks got away with these crimes

There are Ancient Reasons Why Turkey Only Seems Untouchable:

There is the deception that Turkey is a 'world' power contender as the truth of its resurgence in Islamist ideologies fail to fully recall how the Ottoman Empire ruled as well as it might have, and lost; and Erdoğan plays an antagonist to history by his attempts to foreshadow a resurgent Turkey based upon former Ottoman influences not in true evidence. If Islam is the power base that gives Erdoğan the courage in his extension of such antipathies towards Israel and the rest of the Middle East and it is divided, then history will be his judge (and judgement of others) when the final accounting for the tragic loss of millions he and his predecessors are responsible for are called due.
Rome, in its modern presentation of failed European governance is still paying for its historical malfeasance in the modern duplication of aggressor autocratic societies and there is more to come. Turkey's time is coming; Erdoğan is blinded by pride as he thinks to mess with Israel, the issues of messing with the likes of Azerbaijani fortunes and thinking he can get away with it. His greater tragedy is still in the wind; or shall we say whirlwind.
