Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Amdm (United States), May 2, 2020 at 09:18

I met him while on a trip to Egypt. There was amazing chemistry but he didn't speak English and I didn't speak Arabic. I was the one who looked him up when I returned but could not find him. Another man i met in trip found him for me and send me his Facebook page. When we became friends, I saw that he had posted this horrible selfie photo of us multiple times on his page after I had departed the boat ... I saw this as sweet because I too had not stopped thinking of him since I returned ... we started talking and he told me he was single. But I felt something was up ... and I told him I would not talk to him again until he told me the truth of his situation. He told me was married and had a three year old daughter.

He video called me all the time ... just like the other stories on here. I am 47 and he is 30... sound familiar? I actually began to fall for him ... he was sweet and expressive ... open and vulnerable ... he never asked me for money but I offered to send some ... and I did ... and then he started saying comments like: he was so thankful; my family is so thankful. He didn't know love until he met me; I am so beautiful etc. and then he would occasionally make comments about how I was so generous with my gift that he could never ask a second request. That he loves children but cannot afford to have more. Etc

I started to send them a package with gifts for everyone and intuitively something told me to google how common it was for Egyptian men to tell women they want them to come live with them and their family, professing their undying love etc ... and I found this site. Thank you for sharing these stories. I actually feel pretty strong right now... thankful that I only sent $130 ....
