Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Natalia (United States), Jan 17, 2020 at 11:26

I've continued reading this forum, for the past month or so, even though I haven't felt the need to comment. I mean, how many times did I need to say it? After I left, some woman stepped up and agreed with me (can't remember who).

Still the lingering, often paranoid psycho babble (cameras, spying, IC3, FBI, cyber bullying, etc.). However, some interesting points have come up.

1) Like someone (and I did a month ago) - if you all want to be married and raise babies, why engage in so much pre-marital sex? Ever hear the saying - "Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free?" (point made by someone else here recently, can't remember who, but spot on).

2) Now that we've established that the women here were ultimately responsible for the harm that befell them b/c they should have Common and Good Sense - and now that we've established that they are Codependents and in need of Mental Health Counseling - why do the women here continue to read, learn about and write about a religion they claim they want no part of? Are they bored with their culture, their lives? Or do they secretly resent Muslim women for having the life they so desperately wanted with a (as they put it "strange and exotic...incredibly attractive...dark and handsome...gorgeous" Middle Eastern man?

The women here claim they are just trying to help other women avoid being used by these "terrible" MENA men - but is that the primary reason they are here? I think not.

Their depth and breadth of the knowledge of Islam, the fact that they continually harp on the MENA men that deviate from the religion and cause suffering for some Muslim women (due to the fact that these men deviate from the Koran, the Koran does not allow men to "punch" women in the face Lina/Lana), the fact that these women have been here commenting on Islam and MENA men for YEARS - suggests something else to me (envy of Muslim women for snagging the men they wanted, dissatisfaction w/ their own lives, wanting to live vicariously through women who are part of an exotic culture, etc).
