Don't file your marriage at a US courthouse and there will be no record

You cannot divorce in the US if you have no US marriage license filed at the courthouse in your state. Marriage goes by states here.

I would just cut him off and forget about divorcing. US State dept does not keep records of marriages overseas of US citizens only birth and death records....but the state department would direct you to the state where you reside concerning marriage validity.

If no record is filed....there is no way to divorce. Simple.
