Please, please, please don't go back to this manchild. They are seriously deranged. If I had had more money, I too would probably have been back and forth as many times as you. However, I still had to file bankruptcy on account of my "husband." He somehow begged, borrowed or stole enough money to leave Morocco to go to South Korea, but he could not find one thin dime to spare for me, even knowing the financial ruin he caused me. We actually talked about me going there to be with him, where I would make lots of money teaching English, and he would do - what? Continue to scramble for menial labor? Scam a few more people? Steal from me, and go whoring behind my back? I'm glad I came to my senses before that happened. I cannot believe the arrogance, audacity and sense of entitlement these guys have. Who teaches them that it's okay to use a woman and treat her badly? Oh, I too got the special emotional abuse and vulgar language. It had not progressed to name-calling or physical abuse, but I'm sure that would have come sooner rather than later. I know only too well how they manage to make us feel like we can't live without them, but guess what? Not only can we do fine without them, we do BETTER without them. They are nothing more than a proverbial millstone around our necks, parasites bleeding us dry. I am six months out, and still cry every day, but I know the day will come soon where I feel nothing but contempt for him. How any human being can treat another this way is incomprehensible to me, much less one that has done so much for them and they profess to love. It is sickening. If I could go back in time, I would do many things differently, but unfortunately most of us are not endowed with the gift of foresight. Nor are we looking for evil, but it manages to find us in the guise of a broke-ass Prince Charming. Do you know if you even have to get a divorce, if you never return to his country, and he's never in yours? Because I am in the same position. Oh, yes, his family loved me too - loved what I was going to be able to do for them and their darling brother and son. Steer very clear, and stay clear, because as you have been able to see, nothing will ever change or get better. Be strong. I know it's hell, but you can do it. <3
