I met a guy from Marrakech...

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Jay (United States), Aug 1, 2019 at 21:22

1 month ago I went on a trip to Marrakech and met this really fun and energetic guy who was a waiter at this restaurant. He made me a beautiful frame with our names in arabic and was so sweet to me. We exchanged numbers and we communicate every day through text message. He sends me videos everyday telling me he loves me, he dances and sings for me, and he is just too sweet. He says he wants to marry me, have kids, and love me forever.

He does constantly tell me about his situation, how he is poor, homeless, but he works very hard. I just tell him that I believe he has what it takes to be better. But he keeps on telling me about how upset he is that he works so hard and does not make any money. I feel like he wants me to offer to help but I WONT because I don't want to feel used.

Now he is telling me how his mom is sick in the hospital, and he doesn't know how to pay the bill...and if its true, it sucks! but I don't even know if its true because of all the stories I've heard.

I was planning on visiting him November because I really like him. But now I am not sure if I should. :(
