I'm sorry to hear you had to leave your husband. Life is too short to live it in misery. I'm glad you're doing things now that make you happy. Everyone should think more on the matter before marrying some of these MENA.

I was on my lunch break earlier today and there was a girl on the TV , I'm not sure of her age but she was young. She's American. She was married to a Lebanese man. They had a son. They divorced shortly afterwards. Her husband was born in the US I believe but his parents were immigrants from Beirut. Anyway they were in a custody battle. The father had broken into her house and took their son. He was 3. I missed how she got the child back because I'm at work and I was in the lunch/dinner area. I know they went to a hearing in court and the judge told the father to not ever get a passport for this 3 year old boy or he will be found in contempt. Well the father somehow got a passport for the child in Lebanon. There's family there and the father has citizenship. You probably already know what I'm going to tell you next. The father was suppose to return the child to the mother. He never showed up. The mother called and reported it. She called her attorney she called everyone possible. The FBI got involved and they went to her house and told her to sit down. They found out her son was in Beirut with his father. He took him on August 24 ,2018. It's been almost 2 months. She's talked and saw the child by FaceTime. She said he was so unhappy. He's 4 now. She said his father was yelling in the background in Arabic. Her son was scared. The US and Lebanon do not have an extradition. There's not anything that can be done. This mother's heart is broken. Her attorney was with her and he said he was a Christian and he believes in the power of prayer. They both believe God will unite this child with his mother. I pray they are right. It's one of the saddest stories. I can't even imagine what she is going through.

I was thinking everyone should consider even this if you marry and have children with someone who has citizenship in a country that your country doesn't have extradition with. I thought I would share this with you and everyone else. I wish you all the best and happiness. Like Deirdre said we're here if you want to talk!! Take care! :-)
