Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Sheila can you help me

Submitted by Sheila, Aug 31, 2018 at 17:26

Hi Lorna, On Fridays I get off from work early and I have a lot more time. I left one comment for you but I have thought about so much more to share. My fiancé that I have now who is American like me has read a few stories on this site. I did share with him eventually about what happen to me. He said it's scary because those type of men could take everything from you because they have majority of the women wrapped around their finger until the woman finally wakes up and hopefully it hasn't gone too far. In some cases it has though.

There was a 10 year difference between the guy I talked to and myself. I finally realized what the truth was. I read on this forum for a while before ever saying anything on here. It help me come to my senses about the truth. When we stopped talking he deleted his Facebook account but he had others because I found 2 of them. After it had been a while he tried contacting me again and I blocked him every time. I knew he had not found a better candidate. It really didn't bother him he lost me. You can tell when someone is genuinely hurt. He was never hurt over losing me. I wanted to kick my own butt.

The job I have now and the job I had before this one you have to have a degree. The company does not give these jobs to people who are idiots. I was thinking I was an idiot. I said how did I ever succeed in any of my careers I chose. Then I realized he scammed me. He's a con artist. I've said on here before I'm surprised I didn't get a cavity from all the sugary sweet talk. I developed a low self esteem after my boyfriend before him and this allowed the Mena man to really pour it on and I sucked it all into my soul. I have been hurt and angry. All of this is natural. I thought about what I did give him and it wasn't as much as some of these ladies on here but I felt stupid. I thought about he and his friends going to the cafe for coffee and sitting there discussing there "rat bezness" and me being one of the women they are laughing at. I had met some of his friends before too. I decided to let them laugh.

I made a mistake but I learned from it and I caught on to what was going on before it was too late. Let me tell you I really got mad at myself when I thought about these things. I'm over it now and I was truly hurt. I've met a man who loves me and we even share the same birthday. He's just a year older. I thought to myself what was wrong with me during that time. My fiancé agrees I developed a low self esteem from an ex boyfriend hurting me extremely bad and my head was in a cloud with all the sweet talk from the Mena man. I don't even believe now I loved him. Love feels like I do now with my fiancé. I never felt any of this with the Mena man. I just thought I did.

My fiance knows I came back to this forum for a while. He said if sharing your experience will help one person then it was so worth it. Like I've said before there is life after a Muslim Mena man. You have to help yourself to receive help even from God!!! Please help yourself and be done with him in every way. Don't live to regret it by bringing him to the UK! Best wishes and hugs Lorna....stay in touch!!
