No-win situation

If the Israelis try to fix the wall themselves, they will be accused of violating Muslim holy places -- an accusation which would possibly lead to more homicide bombings and other violence against Israelis. If the wall collapses, Israelis will be accused of causing the collapse, setting off "who-knows-what" kind of reaction. Until the PA recognizes the danger of collapse and takes action to correct it, the Israelis will continue to be in a no-win situation.
