Dear Daniel Pipes, A few months ago you predicted that the level of Palestinian violence would likely drop off considerably right around now, in fact, and the violence has actually dropped off. I believe that you attributed the "quiet" that would occur to Palestinian weariness and loss of faith in the effectiveness of armed attacks on Israel. I happen to think it is because the Israeli army has effectively re-conquered the Judea-Samaria district, and because our soldiers are far more willing to respond with massive fire power to any Palestinian attacks than they were before., the Palestinians are now really afraid of confronting us. Be that as it may, all this "quiet" could come crashing down, so to speak, if the Temple Mounts southern wall itself comes crashing down. Just imagine that the US opens its attack on Iraq, and at about the same time, the "walls come tumbling down," here in Jerusalem!
