I appreciate the Dr. Pipes' warning to the Israeli government and the international community.

Moreover, I would like to see the Israelis take control over the Temple Mount - since afterall, they won the war in 1967. Under international law, doesn't that entitle the Israeli government to maintain control over those areas - areas they conquered in a war of self-defense?!

In addition, under international precedent and law - cannot a case be made for ending Muslim control over the Temple Mount due to the fact that Muslim authority has maintained the security of all persons (Jews in particular) from enjoying access to that area.

I am not Jewish, I am Christian, but I think it is unthinkable that Jews, including Ariel Sharon, cannot ascend the temple mount without all hell breaking loose by Arab Muslims.
