Distorted View of Sexuality - response to Yaakov WatkinsReader comment on item: A Madrassah in Bridgeview, Illinois Submitted by Ruthanna K (United States), Jun 21, 2005 at 12:36 Commenter Yakov Watkins writes, "Sexuality is one of the few areas where we see something approaching civilized behavior from Islam, as opposed to the animalistic oversexualized approach of the American culture."You, sir, are overstepping and bypassing what you know to be the truth. Sexuality in Islam is malformed in that still prevailing philosophy that if a Muslim girl gets raped its probably HER fault. Muslim men by their own volition state that they have no control over themselves if they feel a girl is flaunting her sexuality. It could be that a girl looked at a male just a little too long even in friendship. That is enough to create a sexually abusive situation on the part of the traditional thinking male of that tradtion. I have heard them make these statements myself. They show no honor in this, and its monstrous to call them "civilized".. Please don't try.
