I was brought up in a fundamental Protestant evangelical church. I wanted to know something of the Muslim faith so I converted in the year 2000 or 2001. Most of the Muslims where I live in Edmonton,ALberta, Canada come mostly from Lebanon. The are peaceful loving people who do not believe in violence. I love them as a people. I even tutored a grade 2 class voluntarily who's teacher was a christian and finally left teaching. I know the mentality of the Muslims at the mosque.
I left the Muslim faith after learning about 9/11. The Muslims would never even think of returning to the middle east. They have made a wonderful life living in Edmonton, a city of 700,000. Their is no discrimination in the Muslim community of 35,000. I have a gospel tract which I have the opportunity to share with Muslims. The ministry which is based in the State of Pa. says that Terrorists would like us to fear Muslims and to believe that most Muslims want a holy war against christians. Our news media fans this flame. However, by far a vast majority of Muslims in the world are warm, friendly, hospitable people who would not consider harming others. We in Canada, live in a tolerant society. It is not to say that we do not accept the actions of others who emigrate to our country from the middle east. I believe our laws have become too easy. We do not do a thorough search in comparison to the USA, our best and closest friend. Canadians tend to grumble and complain against the USA in regards to foreign policy. I am rather ashamed of our attitude by a vast majority of the population. I rather approve of the US administration despite criticism here in Canada. If it wasn't for the US our economic stability would be in ruin. God bless America and keep her strong.
