Peace all,

In response to Zainab Abdullah and like Yusuf Zegar, I am a Universal School graduate. I understand the background of the comments about the school being a heart of Islamic Fundamentalism. I understand that when people don't know much about a culture, religion, or truth, they distort it. Heck, they even concoct an antithesis and label it as its opposite.

There is no such thing as Islamic Fundamentalism. Islam is moderation. So being extreme about anything does not mean you are being an extreme Muslim, rather, you are one who is straying from the true path of Islam.

Furthermore, had some research from PROPER sources been done, there would have been a discovery of the beautiful, universal, and undeniable truths Islam is based on. Equality, peace, justice, mercy, and goodness for ALL, not just for the reporters who assume they are reporting truths about a great school when in reality, their reports are fallacies.

IGNORANCE is scary, but being ignorant of your ignorance is even scarier.

A philosopher once said that a great mind is one which can understand a culture while pulling oneself out of the mindset they find themself in, and to look at a different culture or religion with an OPEN mind.

You think we are oppressive? You think we are close minded? Well I'm just wondering what you call yourself, seeing that you're the one who is torturing us with your oppressive false reports on Islamic institutions. You're also rejecting acceptance of the rightful and just principles of Islam as what they are.

You need to rethink. And please, keep an open mind. You may just be wrong in your current thinking.
