Why stay out?

Reader comment on item: What Is Israel's Next Move In The New Middle East?
in response to reader comment: Not odd, if the issue is God

Submitted by Vijay (United Kingdom), Nov 5, 2013 at 07:34

Dear Balan, you mention if you are Hindu, stay out of it. I am a Hindu, but why should I stay out of public issues which concern everybody. That is an unreasonable and xenophobic expectation. After all , this is a legal issue based on secular legal principles and a secular legal process. The point here is not whether Brutus Balan's views are correct or not, and I have no opinions about you or your theological views , but how do the judges arrive at their conclusions. There are thousands of pastors like you all claiming to have the only correct view and all claiming to be sole spokeman of god. We expect the judges in the highest court to base their judgement on the statement of witnesses, examination of witnesses, legal precedents and in line with their consitutional principles, and not by the statement of internet pastors / mullahs/ holymen.
