Conditions in Syria

Reader comment on item: Stay out of the Syrian Morass

Submitted by Stas (Ukraine), Jun 13, 2012 at 03:49

While it is agreed that letting Syria fight within itself is in the best interests of all countries concerned, we as humanistic and civilised westerners cannot ignore the terrible crimes being committed on these poor Syrian people. It is heartbreaking to hear of the murders of women and children by such barbarians who live in the present day world. How do we deal with such atrocities? I suppose the same way nothing was done about Sudan/Darfur, Rwanda, Somalia, Germany and many other places. It is difficult to feel so hypocritical.
