Bush is vulnerable to his own vanityReader comment on item: Arafat's Last Threat to Israel? Submitted by Ray Davidson (United States), Nov 9, 2004 at 15:45 Please follow the issue as it unfolds and note how Bush and his arrogance - he now believes that he has but to suggest and no one can dare to object - ends up sadly deluded into pressuring Israel, hope fully unsuccessfully, into making concessions that would be dangerous to her survival.Mr Bush now believes he has been given a mandate both nationaly as well as internationally. This is a very dangerous attitude for the leader of the most powerful country in the world for it will only lead to more of our "friends" leaving our side. I fear for the next four years, both as a Jew and as an American. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
