Hi Michel, the rhetorical sense of your questions was obvious but after seeing no response from any Muslim, I thought it would be fun to answer these questions ourselves!!!

You write: "I agree with Pipes that the solution to Islamism must come from within, as we can not force a Billion people to adapt. Since that seems however to be implausible, no evidence for any debate within the Islamic community visible, I too foresee a war of cultures in the future with Iran as it's catalyst."

The reform in Islam will not come from within even though it should come from them. For obvious reasons it has not happened so far and it won't happen until the united non-Muslim world forces them to do so!! The argument of "Islam is a religion followed by 1.2 billion or so people and we can't force them to change " , which Muslims so fondly present to us, is false since majority of those followers have no voice. They are controlled basically by a vast army of imams and mullahs all over the world. By my guesstimates, there are probably about a million or so mullahs who control 1.2 billion Muslims. Take care of the mullahs and the rest of them fall in line.

Yet I have no hope for a change in Muslim world!!!
