Desperate times

I agree with Dr. Pipes' statement at the end of this article: this is truly "a momentous decision for Americans." I have been reading Unfit for Command. We need a president we can trust and who make the right decisions and not be worried about his popularity. Character and morality does count. Kerry seems to have lied from the time when he was drafted (he didn't enlist as he tells us) until now. I can foresee Kerry withdrawing our troops and with the lives of the people in Iraq and Afghanistan in danger. When we withdrew from the Viet Nam area, 3.5 million people were slaughtered. No one ever talks about this. The stability of the whole Middle East is at stake.
