The war in Iraq may result in the Shia domination of Iraq (whether it is a theocracy or a democracy, the Shiites would rule Iraq). The dominoes might fall, not in Iran, but in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain which have a substantial population of Shias. By design or by accident, the Bush administration has reduced the influence of Sunnis and Wahabis in the Arabian Peninsula.This might be a good thing, if the Shias serve as a foil to the Wahaabis. If they join hands with the Wahaabis, the Bush administration would have created a bigger and meaner Frankenstein in the Middle-East.
