confused too ... need advice!Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by maggie (Italy), Jul 26, 2010 at 11:06 i am probably just another one, but still need advice: i met the guy on vacation (he is the usual diving instructor) a couple of months ago, we had a pretty bizarre affair - no words were spoken at all, we just held hands a few times (and it all started by absolute chance!) and the last day i was there we hugged and exchanged half a kiss -, since i got back home we have been kind of keeping in touch by phone and txt but with no regularity at all (i.e. I would not answer the phone, not return his calls and txt and he would do the same), we played with the idea of me going back, which idea i pretty much like. i am though aware of what goes on, and i simply and in a very straight forwad manner told him that i would probably go back but i firmly stated to him that i would not be prepared to give him a present - not even pay for a drink - and less than less money, and i made it extremely clear. i also told him that i would go with a package and have my hotel room (any other possibility is not acceptable for me!!!), up to him to find a way to see me. he agreed on it all. I forgot to mention the age issue: we never asked each other how old we were (we barely spoke when i was there and never alone), but i happen to know that he is 25 and i am 40 - and although i look younger there is no doubt that i am at list thirty something!!! he is clearly not even pretending to be in love with me - also because the very first time he sent me a txt which was a bit over the top i did laugh at him and told him to stop and not be ridiculous - and i am not in love with him, i just like him a lot! My doubt is ... going or not? the fear is tha t once there he will give me an awful time and not stick to what we agreed!
