It is sometimes unfortunate that you read posts, some negative, but many are giving constructive advice to warn of the signs. you are torn between these feelings niggling inside your head - is it genuine , is my Mohammed different. etc we have all had these doubts, that is why the women have posted here.
Who can say , A man of 40 years if he is a muslim most likely has a family and wife or ex wife. You need to talk more about what you plan with your future. You need to realise you need to know a lot more about him, his culture, family and temperament. Perhaps give yourself a little longer. My opinion is that you never know the person in this sort of relationship until you are actually living with them. They have too many skins., too many layers. If its something you feel you must do then do your research. Learn arabic, make sure you have at least a certain amount of knowledge before you go plunging in the deep end.
The water i am afraid is deeper than you ever care to imagine.
