Two thoughts
Reader comment on item: Who Lost Turkey?

- Might not the same strategy used Islamists (unification against the secularists) thwart your suggested approach? You don't tally up the Islamists' fringe groups. Would they make up a majority?
- Couldn't the same strategy work in Lebanon? And if so, why hasn't it been tried? Instead, you see Christian parties aligning themselves with Hezbollah. That's just nuts!
