Response to RoseReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Straight_Talk_Luigi (United States), Mar 18, 2010 at 00:33 If you do not want to risk making a mistake, then your only recourse is to end the relationship. If I were in your shoes, it is what I would do. As evidenced by this and your presence on here, it is clear that you do trust him. Yet, how can you? With internet and cam you are only getting a fraction of the communication you would on a real date. Listen, if you are talking to men from other countries on the internet all night, chances are very good that you are not going to meet your ideal man--or anything close to that. The fact that he is "not interested" in America does not mean that he is a good, genunine person. There are other sinister motives here besides a visa. If you read what Dr. Pipes writes above the comments section, that is made most clear. I can understand why you are attracted to this man, and I'm not even going to doubt that he is decent over the webcam but these scenarios always start out nice. I used to talk a girl that I met on-line for hours every night on the phone, and I was convinced that I was the only man she was talking to. Turns out that was not exactly the case. It's a fairly common trend among people who spend so much time on-line. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
