Hi Hicham

The reason why you think the statistics are higher in America is because most cases are reported and held in the statisics list. abuse to women in muslim countries is not reported and accepted by men so no one hears of these beatings!

its a known fact that the men in muslim countries are allowed to (lightly?) beat their wives if they are not obedient to thier husbands. This means a blind eye is turned to the suffering of these women unless they have a good family and reason to protect them. Their is no choice for married muslim women, they are their to be submissive to their husbands, he provides all and expects her to be grateful by doing all to make him happy, a bit like having a pet animal! But the women don't know any difference they are brought up to be a good wife , we have good wives here in europe and America, but good does not mean do as I say not as I do ???
