Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: I must have won the lottery !

1) If you trusted your man and were secure in your relationship, you would have no need to come on-line, especially this blog, and what I have said would not have bothered you and you would not have to tell me that you won't be on here anymore (an excuse I hear far too often on blogs like these).

I was more interested in learning about attitudes, history, culture, cooking which I have now found in certain other sites.

Did you really think you were going to find that information on a blog entitled "Advice to non-Muslim women against Marrying Muslim Men?" What did you expect to find here, Dorielle?

I do not believe you are able to convince yourself that this is real.

2) If you have already lost so much before, why take that chance again?

3) His current reputation is irrelevant. As I said in the last post, they often wait until after marriage to reveal who they really are.

4) If you two had a normal, healthy relationship, you would be learning about each other, including cultures, from each other, not the internet.

5) This is not pessimism or prejudice, and don't try and play the race card here. It will not work with me. I sympathize with how your man is viewed by your neighbors, but it does not mean he is on the up and up with you. A relationship based---even in part---on pity is doomed.

6) Like I said, I understand your attraction to this man, but I don't think you have the right mindset for this. If you think you are being charitable, this experience could very well teach you a lesson, and it's a safe bet that it'll be many times worse than the ignorant intolerance of London.
