Easy answer for Mary

Do you really want to go to a war torn country which still has Taliban hiding in the mountains to marry a man you do not know and convert to a religion that you do not know and mingle in a community that you do not know, to exist in poverty that you could not ever imagine and possibly be covered by a burqa from head to toe for the rest of your life? Please also consider the global military presence in this country, the land mines, the lack of basic medical facilities and the treatment of women in general.

Do your research. Afghanistan is not a country of resorts and palm groves or haven't you been reading the newspapers for the past 15 years or so? I doubt whether you would be able to get into the country anyway.
