The Withdraw for the Sinai was a terrible mistake ( and when many unsolvable problems began )Reader comment on item: Have Israelis Finally Learned the Strategic Value of Territory? Submitted by James Burke (Colombia), Jan 5, 2009 at 10:51 Dr Pipes, The current ´´ crisis´´ has roots in the Israeli withdraw from the Sinai and the beginning of a slow strangulation around Israel which only gives the arab muslims hope that once israel can be cornered, it can be conquered. The only way for Israel to gain respect and fear from the arab muslims, with minimla ciivilian deaths will occur when Israel retakes the Sinai.
