Land for Peace policyReader comment on item: Have Israelis Finally Learned the Strategic Value of Territory? Submitted by Jon Purizhansky (United States), Jan 2, 2009 at 11:54 There are a thousand ways to "skin the cat". There are zillions of negotiations matrixes with "land for peace", "land for land", "peace for peace", etc...etc...However, this is when negotiations are conducted between the parties on the same level. Conducting negotiations with terrorists, which Hamas, and even Fatah are, defeats the purpose. It is simply a waste of time. First, Israel must wipe out Hamas physically. Then, Israel must start putting together a formula for final status negotitions. However, prior to that, Israel should fix its own political system, so that whatever formula is put together, it will reflect the view of the majority of Israelis and not just a few people in power!
