Of course, Israel, like any other nation, has a right to self-defense!
The demonstrations held around the world against the Israeli action simply illustrates that there are many out there whose heads are in the clouds.
What should Israel do? Just sit placidly at home and let Hamas do what it likes?
Who voted Hamas into power? The Palestinians! Surely, they must have known that there is a limit to anyone's patience, and they had seen and experienced many examples of Israel's limited patience in the past. If you're not sure you can kill the tiger, don't pull its tail!
Of course I deplore the deaths that have occurred, but surely they must have known that such an outcome was likely, so why didn't they use their intelligence on election day? They knew what Hamas was all about, so they must have known what to expect.
Typical of Muslims, they demand the right to do as they please, but when things go wrong, they claim to be victims!
