Two Things Wrong With Polygamy

Reader comment on item: Westerners Welcome Harems
in response to reader comment: What's wrong with polygamy?

Submitted by AnneM (United States), Nov 28, 2008 at 07:30

There are two things wrong with having polygamy. First, it treats women in a second class way for it makes them into sex objects and it creates tensions between other women in the polygamy group for the love and support of the one husband. Second it is a breeding ground for child sex abuse as little girls are forced into marriage at a young age. The western practice of one man and one woman promotes for stable marriages and families.
