Reader comment on item: Appease Iran?

Nice article. I think you make valid points on the appeasement of Russia but the U.S. is in a passive bind when it comes to foreign policy. Your comment about U.S. fighter jets soaring about Russian ships sums it up to me. Basically that's all those jets would have been able to do. We cant destroy Russian ships and kill Russian people. That would create a war that we would be responsible for starting.
