Mainstream Islam in America: 'Radical, Hate America Driven Agenda.'

From 1975 to 1996 I attended the very Liberal Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta (UUCA).

During that time we had an open invitation to the Muslim community to send a speaker to our Adult Forum. For over 20 years, not one spokesman from the Muslim community would accept our invitation to speak.

During the early '80s a Sufi Muslim did attend our group as a guest and member of the audience.

When it became known who our guest was, the original meeting agenda disappeared. Long story short, this Sufi had migrated to the US a few years earlier and had tried to practice his faith in the Metro Atlanta Area. "Unfortunately, the mosques and places where a Muslim can worship are

all Wahhabi and consider me to be an Apostate."
