Is it revenge or hatred..Reader comment on item: Islamist Calls for Slavery's Legalization Submitted by Majid (Saudi Arabia), Mar 22, 2008 at 19:06 " Allah (God) tells you to be fair to those -who does not fight you because of your religion- and even be nicce to them.. and Allah loves the kind people " (Holy Quran) 90% of Arabs are Muslims, which made Arabic and Islamic culture inseparable. Muslim in Arab and non-Arab countries understand how Islam -since it was established - resisted slavery. Penalties for major sins in Islam include setting a slave free.. We moved to next penalty because of abscence of slaves. For the past 60 years slavery has disapperared from Saudi society. x-slaves -by law- no matter what color they have - believe it or not there were white slaves too- have equal rights to other citizens. Slavery is part of every culture heritage even among African tribes. Sheikh Al Fawzan statement should be interpreted as such. He is a Muslim scholar and belongs to the Religious Legislative Community. Saudi and Arabs as individuals or governments have not consider slavery acceptance at all. You may not to re-think the principle of wipeing off people because of their color, religion, beliefs, etc.. because it did not succeed before with any community and in all continents !! Anyway we are ready for your war whenever you declare it.. I guess it is only on the keyboard !!
