Self-evident contradiction in Quran

Reader comment on item: Islamists Endorse Muslims Owning Slaves
in response to reader comment: Abolishement of Slavery in Islam

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jun 2, 2011 at 04:28

Dear Dr Pipes:

Accepting that Quran permited slavery leads to a major contradiction. If we also accept that Quran is the final and complete word of the God, we must wonder why God missed his last opportunity to categorily ban/abolish slavery.

It seems that either Quran is not God's complete and final message or God missed a major opportunity!
