Pierson's explanation makes such clear sense. As a child born and bred from counterculture and general anti-American sentiment I've grown up with all of the the baseless assumptions, paranoia and illogic of pseudo Liberalism, only to have it verified gradually through my parochial education climaxing in university (San Francisco State University and Cal Berkeley).
the simple, yet accurate manipulation of generations of Americans plus the good old leftie Romance of continual struggle against any and all authority and Governmental or corporate Institutions-just for the sake of doing so,may finally be wearing itself thin.
I grew up listening to the Sf Bay Area punk group 'the Dead Kennedy's'. While they did in fact maintain the banner of liberalism-always demonizing Pres.Ronald Reagan, they were equally critical of flower power California governor Jerry Brown. The point is that as time goes on and the over stimulation and shock of The Kennedy assassination, the Vietnam war, Watergate etc. and as the Liberal goons of academia age-I only hope that the young generation of America can grow in fortitude and strength to deal with our current challenges in a mature and logical manner without the righteous indignation, self-asserted victim hood, and defeatist mind set of many of my elders.
Thank you for your work and analysis-sincerely, Luta Belcher
