If Israel survives, humanity survives.Reader comment on item: Who Supports Israel [- Conservatives or Liberals]? Submitted by D. Krabbenhoft (United States), Sep 7, 2003 at 23:57 Dear Sir:I am Scandinavian and German. I consider myself to be liberal on most issues. But when it comes to Israel, I am in the conservative camp. I'm convinced that if Israel does not survive neither will democracy survive. Our increasingly uncivil civilization would quickly succumb to a dictatorial world government. Israel has indeed become a "burdensome stone for all people," (Zech. 12:3). But it's a burden the world must bear lest a greater holocaust than that of the '40s destroys our sense of justice, our conscience, our humanity.
