The Difference - from a REPUBLICANReader comment on item: Who Supports Israel [- Conservatives or Liberals]? Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Mar 28, 2008 at 01:07 Republicans respect self-sufficiency (Israel). Democrates like to be needed (Palestine). The minute a "Palestinian state" was self-sufficient, stable, and prosperous, Democrates would seek to tax it. Republicans recognize the bravery of Israel. Democrats don't require bravery, let alone recognize it, on behalf of anyone. They make a living on their being "indispensible" to the masses. Bravery, courage, stamina, self-sufficiency, ingenuity, military, patriotism; these things do not strengthen the Democratic cause. Weakness does. That's why Israel is not high on their list. God Bless Israel. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
