The pagans of Mecca

Reader comment on item: Mosque in Cordoba, Church in Damascus

I do not have any difficulty with Muslims praying in ex-mosques I suspect that they will freak out because of icons and pictures and all the beauty in Churches that are haram in Islam and that will be the end of it.

Well, in exchange for Muslims praying in those Churches that were Mosques I would suggest that any of the decendants (and i'm sure we will find one or two) of the pagans of Mecca should be able to pray in al-Ka3bba! And because we are told by the Islamic tradition that the Ka3bba used to have statues of Mary and Jesus in the pre-Islamic era, Christians should be able to pray at al-Ka3bba and a new replica of the statues of both Jesus and Mary should be erected in al-Ka3bba!.

Oh I forgot there were also Jews not as much in Mecca and we are also told that there was a famous Ha Kham (Rabbi) who used the area of the Ka3bba for religious debates so Jews must also be allowed to pray at al-Ka3bba!

Let us see what Muslims would say.
