Daniel Pipes official position on Palestinian statehood

Reader comment on item: How Central Is Muslim Anti-Semitism?

What is Daniel Pipe's official position on Palestinian statehood? He never gives us even a hint, whether pro or con, on what he believes. So what gives? Let's hear what the expert Daniel Pipes has to say about Palestinian statehood: Does he believe the "Palestinians" should have a state of their own, or not?

Does he believe Gaza and the West Bank should be given to the Palestinians, or does he consider these areas the historical inheritance of the Jewish people? Please speak up, Mr. Pipes, I cannot hear you. Enough equivocating on this issue-- the REAL issue between Israel's Jews and Israel's enemies!

Daniel Pipes replies:

No equivocating. As I have said many times, my "official" position is that this is a premature topic. Let the Palestinians show in word and deed over a proctracted period that they accept the existence of a Jewish state - and then the topic of their future can be taken up. Not now.
