Before we criticise Sharon

Reader comment on item: [After Sharon:] Israeli Politics Will Revert to Its Past

Submitted by Klee Gluckman (New Zealand), Jan 7, 2006 at 05:03

Sharon is a strong man who fought to preserve Israels existence. As prime minister I think he has been outstanding. It is true that he may have appeared to appease of late but he was only playing politics. He had to appear to make some concessions to keep allies happy. I do not believe he would have ever sold Israel's soul. I for one am scared now that he is gone. The next leader will not have his strength of character to take it on. Israel needs Arik, get well soon General.
