Israel's Suicide

Reader comment on item: [After Sharon:] Israeli Politics Will Revert to Its Past

Submitted by Ralph C Whaley MD (United States), Jan 5, 2006 at 18:19

Israel is pursuing a policy of slow, self inflicted death. There is no political party advocating any fundametally different course. Israel's policy of appeasement by ceding land won in battle of self defense can only lead to their destruction. Its only hope for survival is in recognition that its enemies are serious when they declare their intention to wipe Israel from the map. An all out military campaign to destroy the ability and (more importantly) the will of their enemies to wage war is Israel's only path to peace and long term survival.
