Converts and their new "thing"

Reader comment on item: More Converts to Terrorism

Submitted by Ed Brophy (United States), Dec 8, 2005 at 14:08

Converts wish everyone to know about their new "thing" and spend much of their efforts as a new convert eagerly broadcasting this most important fact of their confused lives.

In some of the writings about Ayaman al-Zawahiri's early days it talks of the conversion (up until then) of his young, very westernized, western educated wife. The young wife of the doctor and daughter-in-law of a Dean at the University of Cairo suddenly started wearing headscarves and other seventh century costumes to the amazement of all at the university and I'm surmising that she also talked on and on about her new found thing.
