The term Islam means submit [to God's will] Mohammedean or Mohammedian is a student of Mohammed their prophet.

Christian doesn't mean a worshiper of Jesus. Jesus to many Christians is what the title infers Christ or Savior. Most Christians worship God according to the teaching of Jesus.

The relationship with God is interesting thoug:

Christians believe that we are all God's children and, therefore, God is our heavenly father.

Islam teaches that God is our lord and master and we must submit to his will.
