What Muslims do is far more sinister; it is not apartheid.

Dear Dr Pipes,
Islamic discrimination against non-Muslims is far more sinister than Apartheid. We should not compare the two. Let me explain.

Apartheid was discrimination of the South African Whites against the colored people of that region. It was bad but there was an impossibility around it: the whites of South Africa could not have threatened the blacks to change the color of their skin under the threat of a gun.

Islamic mistreatment of non-Muslims is more sinister. Muslims can force people to abondan their beliefs under the threat of a gun. South Africa forced people to live in poverty in places that they did not want to live. Muslims present a sustained existential threat to non-Muslims until the non-Muslims change their beliefs. We are seeing this threat in Israel, in Kashmir and elsewhere on a daily basis. What Muslims are practicing is not apartheid.
