Role of Pakistan

Reader comment on item: Reflections on the Debacle in Afghanistan: Interview

Submitted by Cary S Hillebrand (United States), Aug 20, 2021 at 09:06

Why isn't the role of Pakistan, and in particular the Inter Service Intellegence in supporting and even mentoring the Taliban given more public scrutiny and comdenation? What does Pakistan (which like Turkey enjoys playing a double game of supposed US ally and supporting her adverseries) hope to gain by the Taliban victory?
