Dear Dr. Daniel Pipes,

Thank you for sharing your comments on this horrible issue of Afghanistan, which turned the world situation upside down in less than 10 days.

What we USA did by this naughty retreat from Afghanistan has not any precedent. Because we had many alternatives but we did something out of any professional manner. I can not believe that we did not have any information that the Afghanis were not going to fight. This is something that as a professional military officers can accept and can not believe. Again we should never had our troppd leave Afghanistan first and abandoned behind our Embassy our personnel and American Citizens and the thousands of the Afghanis who were working for us during these 20 years at the mercy of Taliban. In the Military we should always plan and act taking into account the worst case scenario.
We were not the Great America World Leader and Superpower. This alone will make China, Russia, Iran, Turkey and others think that we are getting much weaker than we were before. This might initiate many other problems such experiencing many challenges coming from them and others.

As you very well described we USA lost in a few days much of our prestige and trust from many of our Allies including Greece, Israel, UAE, Egypt, Libya, Balcans, Taiwan, S. Korea etc. I have already watched news from these countries that make such questions. Take into account that the previous Administration left behind our best Allies with the ISIS the Kurds and surrendered them to Turkey who massacred lots of them and pushed then out of their cities and villages with the green light of Trump to Erdogan. Who also jumped into Libya and does not leave this country, jumped into the waters of Greece and Cyprus searching for gas and oil, and is been threatening almost all countries of the Eastern Mediteranean, promoting the new Ottoman Empire openly and by wars and crisis. Now he will continue with less fear and will also send waves of Afghanis to Greece and EU countries.

Personally I worry very much for what is coming into our land and to our Allies and the entire world.

China, Russia and Turkey are keeping there Embassies in Afghanistan trying to make deals with the Talibans.....

It was really a very bad plan and even worst action, which all the world is watching and discussing, mainly about us, and the Afghan women, who are left behind and are at the mercy of Talibans.
