Some wrong directions too

Reader comment on item: Trump's Saudi Speech: Pretty Good

Submitted by Anish (India), May 21, 2017 at 20:20

Saudi Arabia like Pakistan and other so called allies in the region is a snake pit. Iran which reelected Rouhani is not. In fact Iran has been quite stable and headed in the right direction on many aspects. Siding with Saudis against Iran is basically fueling a tribal warfare from the wrong side. Whatever meddling Iran does is certainly a problem but the attitude towards Iran of Saudis and other sunnis in the region including ISIS is genocidal.

Having been to both Israel and Arab states the general feeling I get is that Arab sunnis see Shiites as even lower than Jews in terms of being seen as heretics. But of course they will come for everybody who is not sunni.

In many ways both Iran and Israel live in a constant state of peril.

I endorse Trump's anti-Islamic Republic of Iran statements.
