Catholic who believes in israel

Reader comment on item: How Church Attendance Affects American Attitudes toward Israel
in response to reader comment: Judaism is incompatible with Christianity

Submitted by Catholic (Canada), Feb 8, 2015 at 21:18

First of all we have our differences and it does not matter to me that Jews or anyone else does not believe in Jesus, the trinity or the Virgin birth or the resurrection. We have Christmas easter advent and Pentecost and Jews have their autumn holidays which occur at a lovely time of year. We are not incompatible since most of us live and let live. We don't go around stabbing, shooting, beheading or burning other people. If I got on a mode of public transport I would feel quite comfortable with Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, secular humanists and good atheists.

The only country I would consider visiting in the Middle East is Israel because it is a democracy and women are not second class citizens. If I want a discussion on religion quite frankly I will do so with other Catholics. Or argue some points with the local priest.
