Berg, Christians are not Buddhists nor Muslims, nor anything akin to them. Your understanding of religion leaves much to be desired.

A Jew is:

  1. One born of a Jewish mother, or
  2. a convert

I am not surprised to see you trying to sail off into a pet doctrine on this. For millennia, Jews have been trying to outdo one another for their purity, their holiness, their sound doctrine, etc. -- which is why there are so many sects of Judaism, and so many disagreements within those sects. The essentials remain, however, as I have stated them above.
